  • One secure bicycle parking facility rather than 10 separate locations and a loss of 15 additional car spaces
  • Identified the sweet spot in terms of location and schematic plan for bicycle parking. This included getting cyclists out of the path of travel of vehicles as soon as possible and locating within 30 feet of the lift core via a striped pedestrian path
  • Location uses low value car bays but is the most optimum location for bicycles
  • Capacity increase from 46 to 96 bikes to get more people on two wheels
  • Net loss of only one car space
  • Separate entrances and bicycle parking within the facility for anchor tenant Tripwire, while still providing for the rest of the building population

Design features include:

  • Aesthetically pleasing sustainable hardwood timber for the fencing
  • We included a mix of vertical and horizontal bicycle parking to accommodate differences in bicycles and user preference
  • Inclusion of a DIY bicycle repair station and pump
  • Improved layout and inclusions for men’s and women’s change areas in fitness center. Including custom PFL Maximus lockers with integrated bench seating and shoe storage.
